acropolis. I have a couple different orignal universes in my head. This one, Universe A, is the oldest and has a high fantasy setting. Except this particular bit of silliness is an AU that simply uses the main characters of Universe A.
~A Lesson in Why You Should Stay Away from Glowing Idols~
Sara looked through the hole in the ceiling to the room below them. She sighed. "So wait. Let me get this straight. We're going to steal the idol, fight off hundreds of natives, leap into the plane, and also get the girl?"
Louise broke her concentration long enough to glare at Sara. "Mark wouldn't appreciate you calling him a girl."
"He's the one that messed with the gender-bending idol. I think I can call him whatever I want for that stupidity."
Louise continued to glare; Sara attempted to look abashed. Before either could say something, a green light on their wristwatches flashed, and David said, "Go."
Sara, being the smaller and therefore lighter one of the pair, shimmied down the rope and into the temple. The room was dark, but the idol phosphoresced in its setting above the altar. Sara grabbed it and stuffed it in her purse, being sure to zip her purse so the idol didn't fall out. Inside the purse, the idol still glowed, but layers of fabric muffled its light. The room was suddenly much darker. Sara thought she heard something in one of the corners, and she tugged the rope.
On the roof, Louise set to work reeling the rope, along with Sara and the idol, back up. Sara heaved herself the final few inches up and over the ledge, and she and Louise started running. It didn't take them long to reach the spot in the woods where a tall, busty maiden wearing a bikini was lashed to a post. Sara had to work at not snickering at the image of her brother in a bikini while she and Louise untied him.
Mark turned to face his saviors once free. He rubbed his stomach where the ropes had chafed him in a decidedly feminine way. "Give me the idol."
It was the first time either Louise or Sara had heard him talk after the...incident with the idol, and both women were surprised at how smoky his voice was.
"Getting out of here's more important," Sara said. "By now, the natives have noticed the missing idol."
"Fine." Mark crossed his arms below his breasts. "Could you give me and Louise a little privacy for a moment? Hmm, little sister?"
Sara huffed at the request but turned her back. Her brother was a horndog as a male, it wasn't surprising that he was still one even if temporarily trapped in a female body. She gave them two minutes before turning back around to find Mark grinning smugly and Louise blushing. Sara opened her mouth to speak, but Mark beat her to it.
"I think I hear the natives. From that way!" He pointed in the direction of the temple.
Sara pointed in the opposite direction. "The plane's that way. Come on!"
The trio ran through the forest as fast as they could. Mark, being unused to his female body, cut himself several times on the foliage during their flight. But he was strong and fast as a male, and those qualities had obviously been transferred to his new body. Sara kept one hand on her purse while she ran. Miraculously, they outran the natives to the plane. They all hopped in, and the pilot took off immediately. From the air, Sara noticed several of the natives on the ground waving spears at them.
The flight back home was relaxing. Sara gave Mark the idol, and Louise gave him the change of clothes they'd brought along. Justin babbled the entire trip but only to himself; Sara, Louise, and Mark all fell asleep in short order. And once they reached their home, Sara noted that Louise brought both of the idols with her into her and Mark's bedroom. Sara supposed that there could have been worse endings to their little adventure.
