~His Own Battle~

Gimli gently prodded his eye as he looked into the mirror. Rebuilding Minas Tirith was difficult, but being the only dwarf in a city of men, even if he was one of the Nine Walkers, was even more so. The men of Gondor were good, proud men, but they were not used to accepting help from others. And so, they resented him. They had forgotten how he had proved himself in battle. They quarreled; he fought back. Physically, he fared better than the men. But in his heart, he was tired of fighting. All battles felt the same after awhile.
